December Holiday Party Meeting is in the 2nd

This Months Theme is

"Your Best Image or Your Project For The Year".

Join us at 6:00 p.m.
It is time for our annual holiday dinner party

This is a pot luck dinner so we need everyone to bring some food for the dinner. Please send cheryl a list of the food you are going to bring. Cheryl's email address is

Your images from your project of the year can be in the form a slide show or bring your images in one folder and make sure your name is on every file and they are numbered in sequence. Slide shows can be no longer that 5 minutes and your folder of images should be a minimum of 12

If you don't have a project for the year or a body of work that shows one central theme than you can only bring ONE image.

Send your images to me by Wednesday night or you may bring them to the meeting. Please bring only 2 images. Theme related or your best images from the past month are acceptable

 

I will start asking this month what your theme for next year will be so please start thinking of what you would like to do.

Remember to size your files no larger than 1024x768 at 100ppi and they should have your name in the beginning example of your files could be (Jim_Swallow_shopping_carts_1_0409.jpg)

It helps tremendously by having all your images together at the end of the year by you using the same method each and every month. Thanks

Eye See America: Through the Lens of Joshua Mann Pailet

Eye See America: Through the Lens of Joshua Mann Pailet is a one-person exhibition of black and white photography by New Orleans artist and gallery owner, Joshua Mann Pailet. Pailet's work is inspired by great photographers of the 20th century such as Dorothea Lange, Lee Friedlander, and Elliott Erwitt. The exhibition will feature 69 images spanning the early 1970s through 2010, with subjects including music concerts, American city streets, and New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina.

It is time to support your local photography supply house before they are all gone. Internet is not everything. There is much to be said about touching, feeling and supporting your local business man.
